MBA: Marketing Specialization
The MBA Marketing Specialization provides students with an academic curriculum that
focuses on how products and services are developed, priced, promoted, distributed
and sold. The process requires an understanding of buyer and seller behavior within
the context of the overall market environment.
MBA Course Requirements
The MBA requires a program of study that consists of 4 major components – a core of
basic business courses, a class in business strategy, electives, and a culminating

Accelerate your career by earning your Master of Business Administration at Stanislaus State. Designed for working professionals that desire evening classes and the flexibility to take as few or many classes as your schedule permits. Students can complete the program in as few as two years or up to seven years. Our mission is to prepare individuals to become skilled organizational managers and professionals both able and willing to lead people in meeting the many challenges presented by competitive, complex environments.
Areas of Focus: In addition to completing core business classes to obtain comprehensive knowledge of business, you also complete three electives, from one of the following areas (you may take additional electives if beneficial for your career):
- Accounting: Professionals that desire more accounting knowledge, and those working toward their CPA education license requirements.
- Finance: Professionals that desire finance and investment knowledge, and those working toward CFA license.
- General: You have the opportunity to take three electives in any area, providing you with a broad range of topics to include human resource management, operations, CIS, accounting, finance, or marketing, etc.
Concentration coming soon!
- Business Analytics: Learn how to collect/analyze big data. Good for professionals in all areas including marketing, operations, management, finance, and accounting, etc. Individual courses in analytics are currently offered (pending campus and CSU Office of the Chancellor approval).
