Staffing was a pleasure working with. Work was challenging but not to much to handle.
customer service (Former Employee) –  Ridgecrest, CAFebruary 4, 2018
Started at 1pm and worked till 3:30pm. The company was really good with working with my school schedule. They were also all about helping out when it came to my education. I learned a variety of skills that I will take with me to the next company I have the pleasure working for such as filing, operating multi-phone lines, the ability to multitask under the pressure of having many customers in front of me, computer skills, customer service, and problem solving. All staff members were very friendly and willing to teach new employees what they needed to know. The hardest part of the job was dealing with unhappy customers because in most cases they did not understand that for instants their financial aid checks did not come due to the federal government not something at an office level. However the job taught me not to take customer anger personal, remain calm and try to explain the problem in different ways and hope they finally understand. My favorite part of working here is the staff and learning as much as I could. the fact that this was my first real job everything I learned was brand new and I know it will help me in the future.
Pros
Works with school schedule
Cons
Deal with a lot of angry students

Head Women’s Soccer Coach (Former Employee) –  Ridgecrest, CANovember 1, 2017
The facilities are fine and the work conditions are good, the most difficult is finding housing for the recruits from out of town. Most athletes have to come from out of town because Ridgecrest is a small town with only one High School.

good place to work

limited feeding high schools

Great positions available while you attend school. Very professional, fun, and has great educational opportunities. Staff and faculty members are very helpful and tend to assist students or other employees in any way that they are able to. This job was the best position that I have ever held. I would love to come back and teach English or Creative Writing courses once I have obtained my Masters degree.

Quick-paced, rewarding
EMT Student (Former Employee) –  California City, CAMay 22, 2017
Throughout EMT School, the students are given an opportunity to train and work along side first respondents. Working on an ambulance or firetruck provided a quick-paced learning environment and required a sharp mind. A typical day of this work on an ambulance meant waiting in the station for a call, and having to be on your toes at all times in order to be prepared for the unexpected in the field. Working on clinical hours in the hospital however, provided a much different environment. Treating patients, while still having various traumas, took place in a controlled and organized environment, which i found to be my favorite part of the job. I loved the relationships and interactions with patients as well as the kindness and knowledge I received from my co-workers and teachers.

Very satisfying work assisting students and staff in reaching their goals.
Educational Advisor (Former Employee) –  Ridgecrest, CAJune 29, 2016
I had the pleasure of working with a very professional staff. I had the satisfaction of assisting my online, international, nursing and general population students in every aspect of obtaining their goals. My position required me to participate in every part of the student’s journey beginning with student orientation, assessment testing, course selection and requirement completion of their goals. I was fortunate to oversee specific student populations in my duties as Health Careers Advisor,GED Examiner, EEO officer and Designated School Official for International Student Admissions. In addition to advising students also had duties such as coordinating assessment schedules, student advisory committees and matriculation advisory committees. I performed Banner system department training for new employees, graduation evaluations, online counseling/advising, VA and Financial aid program approvals.
Following a students journey from their entrance to graduation and/or transfer has been most satisfying.
The hardest part of this job was having a student lack self confidence. But, in my position I had the opportunity to make a difference and support and help each realize their potential.
Pros
Being a part of the students journey in reaching their goals.
Cons
Lack of space in health careers programs for student applicants
