Capital University in Columbus

Capital University, located in the capital of Ohio, is a Lutheran, Christian university. Its School of Management and Leadership offers five undergraduate degrees in leadership and management, accounting, economics, financial economics and marketing. Classes vary depending on the major, but you can choose from financial accounting, business law, business ethics, international business environments, economic principles, business policy and organizational behavior.

Master’s Degree Programs Offering Business Programs in the Columbus, Ohio, Area

Ohio Dominican University in Columbus

Ohio Dominican University is a Catholic university located in Columbus. The business school offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA). The MBA program can be taken in four different concentrations: public administration, leadership, accounting and finance. Core courses that are taken in all four concentrations include management skills portfolio, global business and trade, managerial finance, accounting for managers and corporate ethics and responsibility. The MBA program can be taken online, as a 4+1 program, meaning that as an undergraduate you can prepare to receive a MBA in one year after your undergraduate completion, and finally as a LEAD program. The LEAD program is an accelerated MBA program and does not offer concentration options. Classes in the LEAD program include accounting, business law, quantitative business analysis, strategic marketing management and global business issues.

Ohio State University in Columbus

The Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University provides numerous graduate degree programs in business. You can enroll in the MBA or executive MBA program at Ohio State University. Once you complete your core courses, you can declare a major in one of seven areas of study, ranging from finance to strategy. Core courses include data analysis, managerial economics, international business and marketing. Besides the MBA program, you can enroll in five master’s degree programs related to business: the Master of Accounting (MAcc), Master of Labor and Human Resources (MLHR), Specialized Master of Finance (SMF), Master of Business Logistics Engineering (MBLE) and Master of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE). You may also invest in a dual degree program at the Fisher College, where you can receive another graduate degree, such as a law degree, along with your MBA.

  • School Type: 4-year, public, about 58,000 students (about 44,700 undergraduate)

Capital University and Franklin University offer bachelor’s degree programs in business for prospective students, while Ohio Dominican University and Ohio State University in Columbus offer master’s degree programs if you would like to further your education.
